I am a Danish Child Psychologist who has worked for children, young people and families for almost 20 years. For the last 10 years I have had my own clinic outside Copenhagen, Denmark. My work experience is very wide as I have worked with low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, OCD, anger management and bereavement. In addition, I have worked for several years with children and young people who have attempted suicide. In the last couple of years, I have also served as an expert in children for the Courts. Finally, I have taught psychology students at the University of Copenhagen.
I also have international experience as a Clinical Psychologist. For 7 years I worked at a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in London. In London, I also worked as a research assistant at The Anna Freud Center (www.annafreudcentre.org).
I am married to Steffen and we have two lovely girls who are now in their teens.
The Little Book of Nightmare is my first book. The book is based on a new concept and is constructed such that while parent and child are having fun reading the book, the child will be treated for its nightmares. In the book, I use a method based on principles of cognitive behavioral therapy.
